The Holy Ghost Wiener Roast 2008

The kids and I went with my parents to their church's annual Holy Ghost Wiener Roast. Gordon and the girls have been counting down the days all week. Prior to the event, some clarifying conversations with my 5-year-old were needed regarding the third Person of the Trinity, sparked by Gordon's question, "Is God going to be there going 'ooooooOOOOOOooooo'?"

They played lots of games, got lots of candy, rode horses, and enjoyed the Hunt Family Fiddlers. We missed having Daddy with us; he's in Denver on business. Hon, you'd have been proud of Gordy -- he threw the football through the hanging tire twice in one turn! It was a beautiful night out at Triple R Ranch, but it did get chilly! I think the kids anesthetized themselves to the cold by consuming half their bag of candy before we even left the ranch! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for a fun night! We loved spending time with you!
