We gave each of the guests an invitation which included this newspaper clipping, a copy of the police report, and an invitation to the party, asking that each guest come dressed in the color of his or her character. All of this was sealed in a "CONFIDENTIAL" envelope.
The suspects...
We made our own suspect cards for the game.
Isn't Gordon's expression funny? It looks like a mug shot!

The Party...
After making their own pizza and eating lunch, the kids split into teams and went from room to room, playing a "live" version of the Clue board game. Mrs. Peacock and Miss Plum were the super-sleuths who solved the crime first.
Whodunit...
It was Mrs. White, in the Conservatory, with a Lead Pipe.
The Cake...
We decided to go with a giant magnifying glass and a fingerprint,in keeping with the Clue theme.
Happy 7th Birthday, Claire!

That looks like so much fun Heather. Did you come up with it yourself or was there a kit? So creative!
You are always so creative. I miss your birthday parties. Okay I love the pic of Maddie. Too funny.
Love and miss you.
Happy Birthday Claire
Michelle, I am just a Googler. :) Before Google, I looked at a lot of magazines for ideas! I don't have many original ideas; I'm just a creative copier!
I suggested the Clue theme to Claire because my kids have been playing that game a lot this year. I thought it would be fun to do a murder mystery (they do sell kits for kids online), but I was concerned that the girls might be a bit too young for that. A "live" Clue game seemed easier!
Bethany, I agree! Maddie's face is so funny! We miss you at our birthday parties, too!
Awesome pictures! And what a fun idea! Ok- you are planning my next birthday party- no not for one of my kids, but for me!!!:)
Happy Birthday Claire!!
So fun!!!! I was excited to see how it all turned out! Cute cake as usual:) Happy Birthday Claire.
Love you
